More from the Blade

toledoblade.com:
In Allen and Hardin counties, nature itself seemed to bow to the power of the storm. Ice an inch or more thick encased twigs and limbs, causing saplings and young trees outside Lima Senior High School to bend until their upper branches touched the ground.

Boughs on older, less flexible trees broke off, leaving pale brown scars in the dark bark. In Lima and Ada, driveways were showered with tree debris, often rendering them impassable.
