Akron Beacon Journal Reports

The Akron Beacon Journal reports
"Classes were canceled in many parts of the state, including at Ohio Northern University in Ada where emergency generators kept heat flowing inside a few dorms and the student center, where students set up spare mattresses to give older people in town a place to stay.

The campus and town are littered with downed trees, power poles and electric lines.

'You can hear the trees cracking,' President Kendall Baker said. 'You just hope there isn't a student nearby when that happens.'
